| Abstract: | Soubor 13 povídek a drobných próz. V Božích mukách, první samostatné knize Karla Čapka z roku 1917, dostupuje jeho umění prvního ze svých vrcholů. Stavební princip jedenácti novelových balad spočívá v tom, že v nich všechno směřuje k nějaké neviditelné, neznámé nebo nerozluštitelné události: k původu záhadné stopy nalezené ve sněhu, k osudu dívky uprchlé z domova, k povaze a osobě prchajícího zločince, k cizí minulosti. Vše v ději ukazuje kamsi za děj, ale kam? Stejně jako vše v životě ukazuje kamsi za život, ale k čemu? Povídky vznikly v letech 1913-1917 a jen několik z nich vyšlo časopisecky v Lumíru. - by Databáze Knih |
