| Abstract: | Božena Němcová podrobně popisuje Slovensko (a částečně i tehdejší Dolní Uhry), jak ho poznala při svých cestách. V této knize jsou obsaženy všechny texty, které Božena Němcová o Slovensku napsala: 1. Vzpomínky s cesty po Uhřích - cestopis z první cesty do Uher na jaře 1851 (tiskem 1854 v Lumíru) 2. Z Uher - z druhé cesty koncem léta 1851 (napsáno 1852, tiskem 1863) 3. Uherské město (Ďarmoty) - z třetího pobytu 1853 (vydáno 1858) 4. Obrazy ze života slovenského - o tradiční slovenské rodině (1859) 5. Kraje a lesy ve Zvolensku - popis Zvolenské stolice (1859) 6. Poslední medvěd na Čerchově u Chodova nedaleko Domažlic a honba na medvěda na Polhoře v Gajdošově potoku na Slovensku - porovnání (1859) 7.
