Abstract: Florentine Chronicles (Italian Istorie fiorentine) is a historical work by Niccolò Machiavelli, written between 1520 and 1525 and published in 1532. The author analyzes in great detail the history of the city-state of Florence and, in part, the overall development of Italy from the collapse of the Roman Empire to his times.
